The Vikings Blade vs Wilkinson Sword Classic

When it comes to double edge razors, there seems to be certain level of variation in designs from one brand to another. Of these variations, there always seems to be a sharp contrast in its features. It's lightweight or heavyweight, cheap or expensive, and so on. Both products to be compared fall into the cheap double edge blades but there appears to still be some difference in their features.

Design

The Vikings Blade is made from high quality, superior materials that sourced from Sweden and Germany. The razor has a chrome plated covering that gives it an attractive appearance. It is a short handle razor with a weight of 85g and length of 3.75". This makes it a heavyweight razor and allows for a firm grip when in use.

The Wilkinson Sword Classic is made mostly from strong plastic. When in comparison with other plastic double edge razors, it tends to stand out because of its strength. It is a short handle razor that comes in a very simple design. Although it seems to have some weight to it, it still falls under the category of lightweight double edge razors.

Accessories

The Vikings Blade comes with a travel case which has a mirror in it. The product also comes with 5 ultra-sharp unbranded blades which will guarantee longer shaving experience before considering purchasing extra blades. The Wilkinson Sword Classic also comes with 5 extra blades. They are also as sharp as those of the Vikings Blade.

Unique Feature

The Vikings Blade comes with an advanced butterfly head. Unlike the conventional TTO razors, this butterfly head allows for quick blade changes in about 5 seconds. The Wilkinson Sword Classic doesn't seem to have any unique feature but it is mildly aggressive and suitable for beginners.
