Shaving with the right razor brings out the manliness in any man. Why
there is absolutely nothing wrong in sporting a beard, it doesn't compare to
the freshness and cute look of a well-shaven man. As delightful as this may seem,
the worse nightmare for any man is having a skin reaction after shaving. Boils
on the face after a shave are just heinous; there's no better way to put it.
Use Quality Safety Razors
This is usually the first line of defense against having boils. With
the sharpness of a safety razor like the Vikings Blade, hair won't be pulled or
tugged on. This causes issues with the hair follicle which brings about
infection by bacteria to cause a boil.
Replace Your Blades
Since boils are caused by bacteria build up in the pores, you have to
prevent the likelihood of this occurring. Besides contact of hand with face
(hands should be washed properly), blades could also help encourage the growth
of these bacteria. Use blades once and dispose of them until you have stopped
having boils.
Soak in Alcohol
Another cost effective way to treat blades is to soak them in alcohol.
This helps fight off bacteria growth on the blade and also allow you save a bit
on buying razor blades.
Don't Share Razor
When you start noticing boils on your face, it is medically advisable
to stop sharing blades and other cleaning tools that have contact with skin.
Use Good After-Shave Creams
There are good after shaves that help prevent colonization of bacteria
on expose pores; the more natural the ingredients, the better for your skin.
You would not want to include chemicals to this battle.
